The abstract should also include up to five keywords. Manuscripts vary in length, but we suggest that they should be between 4,500 and 8,000 words and be preceded by an abstract of no more than 150 words in the language of the article and, if possible, in the journal’s other language as well. Interested authors can submit their manuscripts by email, in MS Word or LaTeX, to the journal’s email address llldjournal at. All papers will be double blind peer-reviewed by the end of June 2018 and the issue will be published by the end of December 2018. The deadline for contributions is May 15. Importantly, the journal is truly open access, for readers and authors alike. As usual, they can also reproduce illustrations, photographs and tables in colour, as well as embed files and hyperlinks. As Language and Law / Linguagem e Direito is completely electronic, it offers individual authors the flexibility they need to cope with long appendices, so authors willing to share their data sets are not only allowed, but also highly encouraged to do so. Manuscripts are welcome in, but not limited to, the fields of authorship analysis, plagiarism detection and analysis, use of corpus linguistics for forensic purposes, natural language processing in forensic contexts, (multilingual) native language identification, deception detection, linguistic profiling, stylometric analysis, and parsing and annotation of forensic texts.
